Vicar Carole Gerber originally came from California where a young Lutheran Vicar from Hamburg, Germany swept her off her feet. She then spent over 21 years working in various churches in Hamburg. She is the mother of 4 girls and a boy. In 1982 this family followed the call to come to Vancouver and minister at St. Mark's. Sadly after 8 years her husband passed away. Carole continued to work full time at St. Mark's as a pastor's assistant and studied part time. Her six grandchildren and life were healing for her. She received a Master of Divinity degree from the Vancouver Shool of Theology in 1999.
Vikarin Carole Gerber ist in Kalifornien geboren und aufgewachsen. Sie verliebte sich dort in einen jungen Vikar aus Hamburg, Deutschland. In Hamburg lebte sie für 21 Jahre und arbeitete mit ihrem Mann in verschiedenen Gemeinden in Hamburg. Sie hat 5 Kinder,4 Maedchen und einen Jungen.Im Jahre 1982 folgte die Familie einem Ruf nach Vancouver. Caroles Mann wurde Pastor an der St.Markusgemeinde. Leider starb er nach 8 Jahren Dienst. Carole arbeitete weiterhin in der St.Markusgemeinde als Assistentin des Pastors und studierte nebenbei Theologie.Ihre 6 Enkelkinder und ihre Arbeit halfen ihr, die schwere Zeit nach dem Tod ihres Mannes zu überstehen. Sie schloss ihr Studium im Jahre 1999 ab.
