On Holy Saturday , we’ll be celebrating the 300th anniversary of Bach’s St John Passion, a dramatic oratorio that tells the Easter story according to the Gospel of John.
Bach’s St John Passion was first performed on Good Friday in 1724. It is a powerful piece of music performed by a large symphonic choir, orchestra, and four soloists.
The event is on March 30th at 7:30pm at the Orpheum downtown.
