Classical Revolution is an informal chamber music reading session inspired by the original “purpose” of chamber music: to get together with your friends and play music for fun. These sessions are open to musicians of any age and ability, though basic music reading skills are certainly an asset. Hosted by our cello teacher, Clara Shandler, at St Mark’s Lutheran Church (1573 E 18th Ave, just off commercial), there’s an electric piano in the space, a kitchen, couches, chairs and stands…. everything we need to gather, make music, have a snack and have some fun. Just bring your instrument, your voice, some music that you would like to play with others and away we go! Attendance is by donation ($5-20 pay what you can).
