“Lazarus, come out”: In no other story does the one who is “the resurrection and the life” go up against death so militantly as in this Sunday’s Gospel of the raising of Lazarus. The verse from the epistle fits in with this: Jesus has “taken away the power of death and brought life and an incorruptible being to light”.
