“Lazarus, come out”: In no other story does the one who is “the resurrection and the life” take such a combative approach to death as in this Sunday’s Gospel of the resurrection of Lazarus. The verse from the epistle fits in with this: Jesus “took away the power of death and brought life and an incorruptible being to light”
